Hannah's father was William Bainbridge and her mother was Sarah Quickfall.  Her maternal grandparents were Samuel Quickfall and Elizabeth. She had six brothers and five sisters, named William, Samuel, Edward, John, John, Francis, Ann, Margaret, Sarah, Helen and Jane.  She was the fifth youngest of the twelve children.  She died at the age of 2 in 1840.²
