Miles was born in December 1692 in Duxbury, Plymouth Colony, Massachusetts, USA.1   Miles' father was Abraham Sampson Jr and his mother was Lorah Standish.  His paternal grandparents were Abraham Sampson and ?; his maternal grandparents were Alexander Standish and Sarah Alden.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 91 on November 26th, 1784 in Duxbury, Plymouth Colony, Massachusetts, USA.1
