Helena (Helene) Catharina Winterbach 
Helena, known as Helene, was born on June 18th, 1929 in Paulpietersburg, Natal.1 Helene's father was Pieter (Piet) Hougaard Winterbach and her mother was Elizabeth Hattingh. Her paternal grandparents were Dirk Jacobus Winterbach and Maria Magdalena Hougaard. She had a brother and a sister, named Dirk and Madeleine. She was the oldest of the three children. She died at the age of 42 on November 3rd, 1971. She was buried in Darling Old Cemetery, Western Cape.2 -
