Johannes Carel Winterbach

Johannes was born on June 23rd, 1781 and his baptism took place on June 27th, 1781 in Cape Town. Johannes' father was Johann Carl Winterbach and his mother was Maria Magdalena Huijsamer. His paternal grandparents were Johann Dietrich Winterbach and Anna Margaretha Meulen; his maternal grandparents were Georg Friedrich Huijsamer and Catharina Helena Carstens. He had three sisters named Anna, Maria and Gertruida. He was the second oldest of the four children. He had a half-sister named Dina. He died at the age of 81 on November 3rd, 1862.
