Christiaan (Chris) Willem Hougaard Winterbach 
Christiaan, known as Chris, was born on February 2nd, 1930 in Lydenburg.1 Chris' father was Dirk (Rooi Dirk) Jacobus Winterbach and his mother was Anna Catharina Maria Beetge. His paternal grandparents were Dirk Jacobus Winterbach and Maria Magdalena Hougaard. He had three brothers and a sister, named Dirk, Frans, Gert and Rina. He was the second youngest of the five children. He died at the age of 75 on November 27th, 2005 in Pretoria. He was buried in Phalaborwa.1 1 General Notes

Chris was a good musician and always the bell of the ball. He was emotionally stable
and never lost his temper. Lived for all the good things in life, was very religious, loved fishing, golf
