Jane was born on February 4th, 1881 in Ingbirchworth, Yorkshire. Jane's father was James STAFFORD and her mother was Mary WHITAKER.  Her paternal grandparents were James STAFFORD and Arabella BARLOW; her maternal grandparents were Joseph WHITAKER and Harriot. She had two brothers and a sister, named Fred, James Edwin and Elizabeth.  She was the youngest of the four children.  She died at the age of 82 in June 1963.
