Marilyn's father was Sidney Thomas KIRBY and her mother was Gwladys May ROBERTS.  Her maternal grandparents were James Henry ROBERTS and Margaret Emma ROBERTS. She has a brother and a sister, named Barry and Gillian.  She is the youngest of the three children.
