Bertie Allen was born in 1894. Bertie Allen's father was Frederick John BROCKIS and his mother was Emily Maria TOBIAS.  His maternal grandparents were Joseph TOBIAS and Susannah. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Frederick C, Ernest Edward, Ernest J, Bertie Cyril, Ellen E, Constance Mary, Dorothy, Lily and Dora Lillian.  He was the fifth oldest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 1 in 1895.
