Kate (Catherine) was born on January 26th, 1852.  Kate (Catherine)'s father was William E. Hishon and her mother was Frances Langford.  Her paternal grandparents were Daniel Hishon and Mary Enright. She had three brothers and six sisters, named Bill (William), Daniel, Possibly James, Mary, Sara(h), Margaret, Bessie (Elizabeth), Ellen and Frances.  She was the youngest of the ten children.
