Benjamin SILK 
Benjamin was born on July 4th, 1742 in Dry Drayton. Benjamin's father was Thomas SILK and his mother was Rose SMITH. His paternal grandparents were William SILK and Rose HINKIN; his maternal grandparents were Abraham SMITH and Susanna HEYLOCK. He had five brothers and three sisters, named William, Thomas, James, Robert, John, Ann, Rose and Elizabeth. He was the fourth youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 87 in 1829 in Hemingford Grey.-
