Joseph MORTLOCK 
Joseph was born on January 5th, 1895 in Shimpling. Joseph's father was Joseph MORTLOCK and his mother was Sophia WORLEDGE. His paternal grandparents were Edward Ernest MORTLOCK and Sarah SPARKE. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Ernest, Frederick, Bertie, Samuel, Rosetta, Polly, Ada, Alice and Bertha. He was the second youngest of the ten children.General Notes
Jospeh was a railroader on enlistment in Canadian forces for WWI. He later served in the US Navy and settled in Gary, Indiana
