Ellen was born in 1897 in Stamford Hill. Ellen's father was Alfred GIDDINGS and her mother was Ada COOPER. Her maternal grandparents were John COOPER and Sarah WILKINS. She had two brothers and six sisters, named Arthur, George, Mabel, Elizabeth, Ada, Daisy, Violet and Elsie.-
