Charles was born on January 15th, 1887 in Poslingford and his baptism took place on March 27th, 1887 in Stansfield. Charles' father was Alfred William BASHAM and his mother was Mary Ann TAYLOR. His paternal grandparents were Manesseh BASHAM and Sarah RAWLINGSON. He had two brothers and a sister, named Frederick, Herbert and Beatrice. He was the oldest of the four children.-
