George was born in 1881 in Cheshire.1  George's father was Geoge Booth Worth and his mother was Ann (Fanny) Brereton.  His maternal grandparents were Charles Brereton and Mary Jones. He had a brother and two sisters, named Herbert, Eunice and Amy.  He was the second oldest of the four known children.
