Paul's father was Charles Stanley Wood and his mother is Maureen D Reynolds. His paternal grandparents were John Wood and Annie Ellen Hemmings. He had a brother and a sister, named Stephen and Natalie. He died at 3 months old in September 1962 in Portsmouth.²
