Frances was born in October 1762 in Broughton (Hawarden) and her baptism took place on November 1st, 1762 in Hawarden.1  Frances' father was John Williams and her mother was Elizabeth Broughton. She had two brothers and a sister, named Samuel, Thomas and Catherine.  She was the third oldest of the four known children.
