Pheobe was born in April 1856 in Atherton and her baptism took place there on April 13th, 1856.  Pheobe's father was James Whittle and her mother was Sarah Mather.  Her maternal grandparents were John Mather and Elizabeth Wild.  She was an only child.  She died at 2 months old in June 1856 in Atherton.
