Calvert was born in December 1885 in Birkenhead.1  Calvert's father was John Turner and his mother was Alice Martha Pritchard.  His paternal grandparents were James Turner and Sarah Varty. He had three brothers and a sister, named Tom, Archibald, Ernest and (Sarah).  He was the oldest of the five children. He had three half-brothers named William, Richard and John.  He died at the age of 77 in June 1963 in Birkenhead.2 



Calvert's first family with Margaret Laura Shirley

‌Calvert and Margaret were married in September 1912 in Birkenhead.3 


Calvert's second family with Mary Townsend

‌Calvert and Mary were married in December 1918 in Birkenhead.3  They had a daughter named Edith.  There are no more children.
