William H Turner and Calvert Turner (another born 1864) were staying with their grandparents James and Sarah Turner in Penrith, Cumberland in 1881
John Turner, aged 15 was lodging with Joseph and Ellen Varity in Liverpool in 1861. Robert and Calvert Varty were also lodgers there. This "Varty" name must be significant, as Calvert Varty Turner was named after them.
Calvert Varty was living in Birkenhead, with his parents John and Alice Martha in 1911, aged 25.
He was in the UK Royal Navy (TBC).
