Sarah's father was John Tomlinson and her mother was Ellen (Eleanor) Clutton. She had five brothers and a sister, named Thomas, James, Randle, Edward, Peter and Ellin.  She was the youngest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 86 in January 1830 in Malpas.  She was buried on January 20th, 1830 at St. Oswalds (Malpas).¹
