Charles was born on March 24th, 1803 in Broxton and his baptism took place on April 17th, 1803 at All Saints, Harthill.1  Charles' father was William Tomlinson and his mother was Martha Johnson.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas Tomlinson and Phoebe Owens.
