Mary was born in 1803 in Tattenhall and her baptism took place on July 15th, 1804 in Coddington. Mary's father was Ann Timmis and her mother was John Tushingham. She had five brothers and two sisters, named John, Job, Samuel, Thomas, Joseph, Sarah and Hannah.  She was the oldest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 50 in August 1853 in Tattenhall.  She was buried on August 23rd, 1853 at St. Alban (Tattenhall).1

‌Mary and James were married in a religious ceremony on February 6th, 1832 at St. Alban (Tattenhall).2   They had a son and three daughters, named Joseph, Ann, Sarah and Jane.
