Lydia was born in 1768 in Almondbury and her baptism took place there on June 26th, 1768.1  Lydia's father was Jonathan Sykes and her mother was Mrs Jonathan Sykes. She had a brother and a sister, named James and Rebeccah.  She was the second oldest of the three children.
