Jane was born on November 26th, 1905 in Atherton and her baptism took place on February 14th, 1912 at St. John the Baptist (Atherton).1  Jane's father was <unknown> and her mother was Jessie Shaw.  Her maternal grandparents were Peter Shaw and Elizabeth Ann Metcalfe. She had a sister named Florrie.  She was the younger of the two children.
