James Rothwell

- In 1829 when Esther was baptised at Walmsley, the family were living at Horrock's Fold, Turton.
  
  In 1841, James and Mary (35 & 30) at Blair Row, High Houses, Sharples. James is a Waggoner. They had Hannah (14), Esther (13), William (8), and Betsy (5)
  
  In 1851, James and Mary (46 & 44) are living at 62 Blackburn Road, Sharples. They have Esther (23), William (18), Betsy (15) and James (9). Hannah has left home and married.

- From 1827 to 1833 James' occupation was Carter in Little Bolton.
