Sophia was born on September 24th, 1824 in Tottington.1   Sophia's father was Thomas Rogerson and her mother was Dorothy Bolton.  Her maternal grandparents were John Bolton and Sarah Roscow.  She died at the age of 73 on November 23rd, 1897 in Utah (UT).1

‌Sophia and William were married in a religious ceremony on July 18th, 1852 in Bolton.2   They had a son named Thomas.
