Sarah was born in 1834 in Warrington and her christening took place there on November 8th, 1835.1 2  Sarah's father was Joseph Robinson and her mother was Sarah Walker. She had four brothers and two sisters, named William, John, Henry, Thomas, Jane and Mary.  She was the oldest of the seven children.
