Harriot's father was John Leetward and her mother was Honor (Honoria) Postans. She had three brothers and a sister, named John, Thomas, Samuel and Mary.  She was the second youngest of the five known children.  She died at the age of 12 on December 11th, 1830 in Knighton Upon Teme.¹
