Peter was born in June 1785 in Warrington and his baptism took place on June 10th, 1785 at St. Elphin (Warrington).¹

Birth Notes

Peter's father was Peter Okell and his mother was Ann Mather. His maternal grandparents were Peter Mather and Alice Worthington. He had two brothers and a sister, named James, William and Alice. He was the second oldest of the four children.
