Miles' father was Robert Nightingale and his mother was Mary Turner.  His paternal grandparents were Humphrey Nightingale and Alice Nightingale. He had two sisters named Betty and Alice.  He was the youngest of the three known children.  He died as an infant in February 1798.  He was buried on February 12th, 1798.^1 1
