Jane was born in 1802 in Bolton and her baptism took place on September 19th, 1802 at St. Peter's (Bolton).1  Jane's father was Peter Morris and her mother was Ann Rothwell. She had three brothers and a sister, named Peter, Jonathan, John and Lucy.  She was the second oldest of the five known children.
