Elizabeth's father was Thomas Moore and her mother was Hannah Partington. She had four brothers named Joseph, James, Isaac and Thomas.  She was the oldest of the five children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Peter and Mary.  She died at the age of 2 in 1858 in Sharples.¹
