Herbert's father was James Bradley Miller and his mother was Emma (Emly) Aspinall Bolton.  His maternal grandparents were Richard Bolton and Maria Aspinall. He had a brother and two sisters, named Nathan, Florence and Hilda.  He was the youngest of the four children.  He died at the age of 15 in March 1905 in Newton.  He was buried on March 23rd, 1905 in Newton Heath.^2 3
