  No obvious baptisms unless to John and another wife, or John of Manchester 17-Feb-1728, but then Thomas would have been 10 when he died.

Thomas' father was John Mather and his mother was Ellen. He had two half-brothers named Martin and John. He died in January 1738 in Breightmet. His burial was on January 23rd, 1738 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹
