Samuel Mather

Samuel was born in July 1808 in Worsley and his baptism took place on July 31st, 1808 at St. Peter (Swinton) conducted by minister William Nuttall.¹

Samuel's father was John Mather and his mother was Elizabeth Bowker. He had a brother and a sister, named Richard and Emma.  He was the second oldest of the three children.  He died at the age of 58 in January 1867 in Swinton.  He was buried on February 2nd, 1867 at St. Peter (Swinton).¹
