Mary Ann Mather

Mary was born in 1849 in Bolton.¹

  Older sister Maria was born Q4 1850, so it is likely Mary Ann was born 1849 (aged 12 when died). However there is no Oldham birth or a birth registered with Bamford as MMN. Either the birth wasnt registered, or she was adopted (e.g a niece).

She had four brothers and two sisters, named Handel, Wright, Wright, Walter, Maria and Martha. She was adopted by Wright Mather & Ann Bamford. She died at the age of 12 in February 1861 in Tonge-with-Haulgh. Her burial was on February 10th, 1861.
