Joseph Mather

Joseph was born in 1771 in Levenshulme. He died at the age of 79 in January 1850 in Sharples. His burial was on January 3rd, 1850 at All Saints, Little Bolton.¹

General Notes
- Joseph (of Sharples) is one of only two Mathers to be buried at All Saints, Little Bolton. The other is his assumed son John. He is probably from Levenshulme where daughter Sarah was born in 1812.
  
  1810 to 1816, Joseph a "Weaver of Levenshulme" and Hannah had four children baptised at Heaton Norris.
  
  In 1841, Joseph (70) was at Cross Hall, Wlamersley, Bury, living with John and Sarah Walton (both 30) nee Mather and family.

- From 1841 Joseph's occupation was Cotton Weaver in Walmersley.
