Jane Mather

Jane was born on September 28th, 1809 in Sheffield and her baptism took place there on November 21st, 1809 conducted by J Bodin.¹

  Jane was baptised at Howard Street Independent, Sheffield, by Mr J Bodin. Her father Rev James Mather who was minister there for 20 years from 1807 to 1827.

Jane's father was Rev James Mather and her mother was Ann Speakman. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Joseph, Robert, Betty, Mary, Sarah and Hannah. She was the sixth oldest of the seven children. She died at the age of 79 in June 1889 in London.
