James Mathere late of 3 Olive Grove, Chapman Street, Hulme in ther City of Manchester. Labourer, deceased who died 15 July 1867 at 3 Olive Grove aforesaid was proved at Manchester by the oath of Betty Mather of 3 Olive Grove aforesaid, widow the Relict the sole Executrix. Effects under £200.

17 Oct 1852, James Mather (64) widower and a designer, son of Joseph, married Betty Hardfman (65) at Bury. Both lived at Crosten's, Bury (probably Crostons, Elton) at time of marriage.
In 1861, James and Betty (78 & 76) were at 3 Olive Grove, Hulme. James was a Silk Designer.
