Florence was born in 1902 in Halliwell.1  Florence's father was John Mather and her mother was Sarah Ann Banks.  Her paternal grandparents were Wright Mather and Sarah Powell. She had a brother and a sister, named John and Edna.  She was the oldest of the three children.  She died at the age of 75 in 1977 in Halliwell.  She was buried in 1977 at St. Peter (Halliwell).2
