Elizabeth's father was Petrus (Peter) Mather and her mother was Sarah Jones. She had a brother and a sister, named Peter and Sarah.  She was the second oldest of the three known children.  She died at the age of 17 in August 1735 in Middleton.  She was buried on August 23rd, 1735 at St. Leonard (Middleton).¹
