Ann's father was John Mather and her mother was Betty Woodward. Her paternal grandparents were William Mather and Mary Green. She had a brother and two sisters, named Joseph, Mary and Betty. She was the oldest of the four known children. She died at the age of 51 on November 8th, 1865 in Horwich. Her burial was on November 14th, 1865 in Horwich.²³
