Robert was the illegitimate son of Catherine Lewis, baptised 20 Jan 1805.
In 1825, Robert married Catherine Dunkan at Chester.
In 1841, Robert and Catherine (both 37) were at Little Neston with Thomas, Joseph, Mary and Ellen (13, 12, 11 & 7). Also present was William Duncan. Another two Duncan families were neighbours, probably Catherin's brother, parents and other siblings (tbc).

Occupation Details
From 1841 Robert's occupation was Coal Miner in Little Neston.2
Robert and Catherine were married in a religious ceremony on June 27th, 1825 at St. Oswalds (Chester).3 They had three sons and two daughters, named Thomas, Joseph, James, Mary and Ellen.
