Sarah Kirkman

Sarah was born in 1830 in Bolton.¹

Birth Notes
- Sarah was 25 in 1851 (probably rounded)
  Sarah was 23 when she married Charles in 1855
  Sarah is 33 on the 1861 census (and Charles 25)

Sarah's father was Joshua Kirkman and her mother was Sarah Bradbury. She had a sister named Alice. She was the older of the two children. She died at the age of 38 in January 1868 in Little Bolton.²

- Sarah from Halliwell was the daughter of Joshua Kirkman a weaver.
  
  In 1841, Sarah (15) was with her parents Joshua and Sarah Kirkman (50 & 48) nee Bradbury at Old Acres, East Bolton
  
  Charles Mather's first marriage (indexed 4 times, but only one has the correct father), married Sarah Kirkham at Deane in 1855.
  
  In 1861 Sarah's sister Alice Kirkham was living with Charles and Sarah.
