Mary was born in 1803 in Tottington and her baptism took place on June 5th, 1803 at St. Anne (Turton).1  Mary's father was Christopher Isherwood and her mother was Jane Greenhalgh. She had three brothers and a sister, named John, James, Jonathan and Ann.  She was the third oldest of the five known children.  She died at the age of 13 in July 1816 in Turton.  Her burial was on July 4th, 1816 at St. Anne (Turton).2
