Ann was born in 1813 in Tottington and her baptism took place on July 11th, 1813 at St. Anne (Turton).1  Ann's father was Christopher Isherwood and her mother was Jane Greenhalgh. She had three brothers and a sister, named John, James, Jonathan and Mary.  She was the youngest of the five known children.
