Henry was the son of John Isherwood, a farmer from Turton and mother Mary.
In 1853, Henry Isherwood was witness to Thomas and Elizabeth's marriage. He married Sophia, Elizabeth's sister the following year (19 Feb 1854).
In 1855, the year after they married Mary's birth was registered at Sharples. In 1856-59 two daughters births were registered Eastern Bolton office before they moved to West Bolton.
In 1871, Henry and Sophia (40 & 42) were at 133 New Road, Halliwell with Mary, Alice, Esther and Elizabeth (14, 14, 9, 7).
In 1881, Henry and Sophia Isherwood (49 & 53) were living at Banister Close, Bolton with daughters Alice, Margaret, Esther and Elizabeth (24, 22, 19 & 17) and Charles Mather (nephew, 9)
