Christopher was born in January 1831 in Entwistle and his baptism took place on February 15th, 1831 at Turton Chapel.1  Christopher's father was Ralph Isherwood and his mother was Mary (Molly) Waddicar. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Ralph, James, Ellen and Mary.  He was the fourth oldest of the five known children.  He died as an infant at 1 months old in February 1831 in Entwistle.  His burial was on February 18th, 1831 at St. Anne (Turton).2 2
