Christopher's father was Ralph Isherwood and his mother was Mary (Molly) Waddicar. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Ralph, James, Ellen and Mary.  He was the second youngest of the five known children.  He died as an infant at 1 months old in February 1831 in Entwistle.  He was buried on February 18th, 1831 at St. Anne (Turton).^2 2
