George Hewitt

George was born in 1849 in Malpas.¹   George's father was William Hewitt and his mother was Sarah Batho.  His maternal grandparents were George Batho and Martha Cartwright. He had two brothers and a sister, named Henry, Joseph and Mary.  He was the oldest of the four children.
