Jacob's father was Jacob Friedrich Heinz and his mother was Margaretha Catherina Wetterroth. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named George , Carl, Maria, Susanna, Susanna, Johanna, Elizabetha, Johanna and Susana.  He was the fourth youngest of the ten children.  He died at 8 months old on October 17th, 1843 in Germany.
