Rev Reuben Finn Handford (Newton)

Reuben was born in December 1852 in Nottingham.¹

Reuben's father was William Handford and his mother was Esther Finn. He had three brothers and a sister, named Thomas, Samuel, Caleb and Esther. He was the youngest of the five children. He died at the age of 71 on July 10th, 1924 in Loughborough.²

General Notes
- Newton F Handford is the only Handford of his age born in Nottingham to be found. He is living with his brother, a BAPTIST MINISTER, which almost confirms this is the same person and Reuben F Handford. He as also living in Little Bolton which clinches it, as this is where he married Sarah.
  
  In 1861 he was named Benjamin on the census record.
  
  Named Reuben for Marriage and thereafter, but appears to have been named Newton in 1871 before he became a Baptist Minister. The F stands for "Finn" or "Frine" (on 1911 census).
  
  In 1921, Reuben Finn and Sarah Alice were at Loughborough with daughter Esther Maud.
